Greetings World! I am still very much alive and beginning to kick again. My life has changed so much in the past months it's hard to chose where to begin. I have continued my career in Art Education and am going into my 3rd year as a Middle School art teacher in Montgomery County. I have increased the student interest in my program so much that my classes has doubled (I have only taught one class of each grade the past 2 years, along with Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd at a second school) I have even had my 8th grade students paint the walls so the incoming classes will be inspired. I cannot believe it has been that long since I even updated a journal entry. I'm deeply disappointed in myself. I am however INSANELY busy and life has changed SOOOOOOOOOOOO much since that last post. I've been student teaching this semester, first in an Elementary school in Hampstead where i had all K-5 grades. It was fantastic! Initially going into teaching i had my heart set on teaching high school, but that experience has truly put me on the fence as to which grade I'd like to teach. Hello to all. Yes i have not added a great abundance of work since my last journal post. And apparently have not begun creating any sort of metals work as i truly wished to. What i have been doing: As you may recall, i lost my job back in February due to the Recession. But I'm fortunately back at work now.
